The Lair of the Golden Bear is truly a summer camp for all. Deep in the Sierra Nevada, this is a place where generations of families come together. It’s where friendships are forged. It’s where familiar faces are greeted and new ones welcomed. Our camp sessions are open to everyone, no matter your age, interest, or outdoors experience. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Our Camps and Experiences
Family Camp
During this weeklong summer camp, we promise s’mores and a whole lot more! Our enthusiastic staff leads campers of all ages in fun activities, from creek walks and scavenger hunts to art projects and boating. Come dusk, evening entertainment includes campfire shows, guest speakers, talent shows, and games.
Women’s Wellness Weekend
Round up your mother, sisters, aunts, cousins, girlfriends—or come solo and meet new people—for an all-inclusive weekend of rejuvenation. Think yoga classes, kayaking, hiking, arts and crafts, and good food.

Sports and Recreation Camp
Featuring professional tennis, pickleball, and golf instruction, hiking and adventure, photography instruction, mixers, dancing, evening entertainment, and plenty of relaxation, this is the perfect blend of programmed activity and freedom for active adults, all in our beautiful corner of the High Sierra. New in 2025, the Lair is enhancing Sports and Rec week with food and wine experiences!

Fall and Winter Oski Cabin Stays
Get away to the mountains during our 2- and 3-night weekends at the Lair’s Camp Oski. Meals are included, and you’ll stay cozy in one of our heated cabins with private, ensuite bathrooms.
College Prep Camp
College Prep Camp will be held at Camp Oski. The program is designed for students who will be high school seniors next fall, and focuses on the application process and essay writing, with some Lair fun and new friends added to the mix!
Bear Music Fest
Bear Music Fest is a family-friendly, immersive music experience with a unique and exciting combination of great bands and artists; small, comfortable performance spaces; the smell of the pines and starlit nights this getaway weekend will inspire real music fans and friends of the mountains alike.
In typical Lair style, this is an ALL INCLUSIVE weekend so your ticket includes the music plus all your meals, lodging and even some activities to keep your kids busy while you are enjoying the tunes.
