Eligibility
Membership
Travelers, whether alumni or not, must be current California Alumni Association members to participate in Cal Discoveries travel offerings.
$50 for seniors, 65 years and older and $60 for those 64 years and under establishes a regular or affiliate membership with all other Association benefits.
A married couple and their children under 21 may travel on one membership.
Memberships are for individuals only and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please make dues payable to CAA by separate check or provide a Mastercard, Visa, or American Express number with expiration date.
Children
Cal Discoveries tours are designed for adults who are interested in the educational and cultural aspects of travel. Some tours may be appropriate for children ages 8 and older. Children, regardless of age, must pay the advertised price and any child under 18 must be accompanied by a parent our guardian.
Physical Requirements
Participants must be in good physical and mental health and be able to keep up with the pace of their group. Those requiring extraordinary assistance must be accompanied by someone who can and will provide all required assistance. Trip descriptions:
- Mildly Active
Easy pace, a little walking, relatively little stair climbing - Moderately Active
Faster pace, substantial distances walked and stairs climbed - Active
Fast pace, long distance walking, hiking, stair climbing. Not for those who can't keep up a quick pace throughout the trip. - Strenuous
Serious mountain climbing, hiking, underwater adventures, skiing. For serious athletes. We suggest you clear with your doctor before signing up for these trips.
