About the Lecturer
Professor Emeritus Alex Horne was in the Department
of Civil & Environmental Engineering for thirty two
years at U.C. Berkeley and introduced the now popular
graduate discipline of Ecological Engineering. His
expertise is in solving water pollution and water resource
management problems around the world and his work
continues as a consultant with many recent projects in
the U.S. as well as Spain, the Gulf of Arabia and China.
