New Student Receptions 2008

Every spring, the California Alumni Association and Cal Alumni Groups nationwide invite admitted Cal students and their families to attend a Cal New Student Reception. At these events students learn about UC Berkeley, meet other admitted students and parents, and interact Cal alumni.
For most of the California receptions, University Administrators will be in attendance from Admissions, Housing, and Financial Aid, as well as current CalSO (Cal Student Orientation) counselors. Other departments will be in attendance depending on the reception, ranging from Fall Extension, to Faculty, to current Cal Parents, to the EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) staff. And of course, Cal alumni will be present to share their Cal experiences.

SPECIAL INTEREST RECEPTIONSThese 2 special receptions will be casual meetings where students, parents, and alumni can network and ask one-on-one questions. They should not be substitued for one of the regional receptions listed below.
