|
For more than 25 years, the Lair's Sports and Recreation Week has emphasized the inner athlete in all of us - and for all skill levels. Featuring the perfect blend of outdoor recreation with camping freedom and the flexibility to bounce in and out of a number of outstanding program options, Sports and Rec Week has something for everyone who seeks an extraordinary high-energy vacation experience. And there's more! Your Lair week, led by the incomparable Emily Forbes, also includes a first class menu, evening cocktails, campfire entertainment, Lair-eoke, arts and crafts, Lair golf (real clubs and tennis balls!) and the now legendary Pinecrest Lake dinner cruise. It all adds up to an unforgettable vacation for you - AND for the partner of the sports enthusiast. Lace up your boots, grab your tennis racket, dust off your clubs, stretch it out, and come up for air – Join us for Sports and Rec Week at the Lair this summer! Tennis - In an exciting new partnership with USTA Northern California, the Sports and Rec Week Tennis program has been made over – and for USTA members, you will save almost 20% on your stay!!! Led by legendary Cal Women's Tennis Coach, Jan Brogan, and Marin-based professionals, Bob Klyce and Helle Sparre Viragh, our exceptional teaching staff will guide you through a fantastic week of skills and strategy sessions, doubles team dynamics, instruction in point and changeover routines and evening fireside chats. In addition, we have not forgotten about your required daily dose of big screen US Open coverage and evening Cal Women's Tennis exhibition play! You're looking for tennis heaven? You've found it - at 5600 feet!

Plunge headfirst into John Muir's "Range of Light" and come out enlightened and refreshed. Our professional hiking leaders will take you daily through gorgeous hi-Sierra hikes that will reward the spirit and the soul. Golf - We are delighted to announce that Tony Murphy, The Golf Doctor, returns to lead our popular golfing program. This year's curriculum includes on-site instruction in swing, driving, chipping, pitching, and putting, video analysis and more! In addition, you will enjoy beautiful days at Twain Harte Golf Course and Mountain Springs Golf Course in Sonora. And with Tony's gospel, you will go home a better golfer!
Masters Swimming - Join us for an incredibly rewarding week in the pool. In early morning and afternoon sessions, you'll receive stroke coaching, efficiency analysis, and as numbers dictate, special private instruction. For those of you who want a different kind of daily water workout, we also offer a more casual water aerobics class. Wellness - Our program is designed with one thing in mind: to soothe the body and mind. With daily programs offered in Pilates, yoga, partner yoga, and meditation, you will be completely relaxed and revitalized when it comes time to return home.
