Profile of the Month:

Matthew Talbot '03
Resume

I am interested in networking with individuals who have experience working with:

  • Business Law
  • Real Estate Law
  • General Practice of law
My Background:
  • Worked as an associate for an anti-trust class action law firm
  • Worked as an associate for a personal injury law firm
  • Internship with Business Law Firm
  • Worked for two asbestos insurance defense firms

My Greatest Asset is my efficiency. I don't care for procrastination; I endeavor to deal with my business before my business deals with me. Further, I am a people person. A large part of lawyering is dealing with clients. Being personable helps make the clients happy, which is always a good result.

My Last Position was as a summer associate for an anti-trust class action law firm in San Francisco. I worked on employment cases along with other class actions. That same summer I also worked as a summer associate for a personal injury firm, where I helped on a suit against a major Detroit auto company and the state of California. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience from both positions that I would bring to any firm.

I Work Best when I am surrounded by people who give me the support and training I need. I understand that I am just starting out, but I know I have the potential to be successful as a lawyer. An energetic, positive atmosphere is a true key to success.

My Dream Job Would be in a small to medium sized firm where I get contact with the clients. The lifeblood of any service industry is getting an actual opportunity to serve clients. Lawyering is no different.

My Next Step is to make an actual difference for my clients. I can't wait to get started with the next phase of my life.

I welcome any suggestions, leads, opportunities, or information that could be helpful in my job search. Feel free to contact me at: mbtalbot@gmail.com

Thank you, Matthew Talbot
