My Background:

28+ years of Operations Management
Two MBA’s from UC Berkeley and Columbia University
Certificate of Management of Technology from UC Berkeley
Started and sold two companies
Master’s Project about Non-Profit Board operations

My Greatest Asset is being able to analyze and re-arrange the pieces to solve the puzzle – creative thinking if you will. When I combine that with an ability to think through future processes, it makes problem solving one of my best assets.

My Last Position was President and COO of LaSalle Properties Inc., a residential real estate company. In that position I was able to turn around an older established company with a proven track record but whose bottom line was being adversely affected by negative outside forces. Utilizing mergers and acquisitions, along with a keen eye to leveraging every asset and evaluating every expenditure, I led the company through a seven year expansion of 25-30% consistent growth rate.

I Work Best when given the freedom to solve problems using the resources at hand combined with the knowledge of company strategy. I enjoy it best when everyone in the company works together to achieve goals. It helps to motivate me and in return I enjoy motivating everyone else.

My Dream Job Would Be COO or Executive Director of an organization that brings some socially redeeming values to our world. Whether the organization is for-profit or non-profit, I would want to use my business acumen and experience to make a difference – either in someone’s life or in the health of the company. I want to be excited about what events the day will bring.

My Next Step would be to locate persons who can help me make the transition from my former real estate industry to a company or organization that can use my services while satisfying my need to be making a difference. Some examples might be in the educational or help for non-profits fields. Finding just one of those worthy organizations which could use my help would be taking a giant step in my making a difference in the world.
