"I settled down to sleep one night recently," writes Mae Lee Perona '47, "but had to turn the light back on because Twisted Titles just would not leave me in peace. This feature is the first one I turn to in each issue of the Monthly. Have you considered publishing Titles in book form?" First of all, Mae Lee, perhaps you should try other parts of this fine magazine. "Letters to the Editor," for one; that department has begun to twist, with discussion about how politically correct this page should or should not be. Second of all, we can barely get out a page of titles; books are beyond us. Before you settle down to sleep, send your titles, politically correct or not (changing one letter only of a book, film, saying, whatever, and adding a snappy underline) to: Twisted Titles, California Monthly, Berkeley 94720 (or calmonthly@alumni.berkeley.edu). The Title title is from frequent flyer Art Poulin '48.
