| We received a note from Robert Nelson '74, of Canyon, who describes himself as "an engineer with no literary talent or poetic ability whatsoever." But, "using the pedestrian, grinding, mechanical, non-creative, disciplined thinking that the UC Berkeley mechanical engineering program helped me develop," he sent in two titles-which, unfortunately, are not reproduced, mechanically or otherwise, here. Still, we encourage the self-deprecating Robert, and all others, to grind out some not-so-pedestrian titles (of a movie, book, play, whatever), changing one letter only and adding a snappy underline and send them to Twisted Titles, California Monthly, Alumni House, Berkeley 94720 or calmonthly@alumni. berkeley.edu. The title Title is from the jumpy Ruth Baldwin Jupe '72. |
