Career Services Assistant
|
The California Alumni Association is seeking a student to assist and support our Alumni Career Services and Student Mentorship Programs. Our ideal candidate will provide general assistance in the maintenance of web content, web applications, and database records as well as assist with event planning, and provide basic clerical support. This is a 10 - 15 hour per week position. The Career Services Assistant position reports to the Director of Alumni Career Services and Student Mentorship.
SALARY AND HOURS: $14 per hour, 10-15 hours per week; work-study preferred but not required
LOCATION: Position is located at Alumni House on the UC Berkeley campus
START DATE: September 2008
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with planning of career and mentor events Assist in updating career-related web content and applications Assist with daily maintenance of the career pages of the website Assist with the maintenance of the employer database Update and maintain database records Update web listing of Cal-friendly Employers pages Create web content for Bear Profiles resume/profile/photo Update web listing of Job Search websites Update web listing of events calendar Update events on CAA/Kaplan landing page Update CAA/Alumwire landing page Create web content for online articles Pull web reports on career-related web traffic Organize and maintain career resource library Code library books, replenish handouts, and make copies as needed Renew annual magazine and trade subscriptions Perform other duties as assigned
