Program Coordinator, Alumni Scholarships
|
The California Alumni Association is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to join our Scholarships team. Our top candidate will coordinate all of the administrative aspects associated with distributing $2 million in Cal undergraduate scholarships while helping to support and build a community of scholars, volunteers and donors. This position reports to the Director of Scholarships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree 3-4 years administrative assistance experience, preferably in a non-profit environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience Excellent communication, attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and proactively Schedule flexibility and availability to work occasional weekend and evenings required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of campus resources and issues regarding diversity and educational access Fluency in MS Office including Access Experience with event planning and program evaluations Experience with database and website management
SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS: Between $33,000 to $38,000 annually, salary will be commensurate with experience and job duties. This is a regular fulltime, non-exempt/hourly position with full benefits that reports to the Director of Scholarships. RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluator (50%) Conduct quarterly updates on progress towards annual objectives Collaborate with both scholarship Program Managers on strategic planning Research quantitative information to substantiate achievement of our goals or improvements in the scholarship process Research current topics in the education/scholarship field using online resources
Coordinator (50%) Supervise the maintenance and update of CAA database Perform website updates Assist in event planning for luncheons, seminars, application readings, scholar interviews, receptions, graduations, letter-writing, and other scholarship functions Reconcile donor funds with scholars and Office of Financial Aid
